Ploy's April Product Update

Ploy's April product update

Ploy's April product update

Hey there 👋

April has been a massive month at Ploy with a really exciting new feature we've been working on behind the scenes for the last few months. Let's dive in 👇

🍱 Manage access to every resource

Over the last 12 months Ploy has gotten really good at helping companies identify and manage their SaaS applications as well as their employee's access. But we don't want to stop there. We also want Ploy to be the platform companies use to manage employee access to all their cloud resources.

To that end we're really excited to announce today that we're releasing "Resources", a way for IT and Security teams to have a single pane of glass in which they can view and manage access to all the different resources across their cloud suite.

Keep reading below to see what it's all about 👇

What are resources?

Resources are simply any entity in a cloud service that you need to view and manage employee access. Examples include (but not limited to):

  • Groups (AD, Google, Okta, Slack)
  • Access Packages
  • Licenses (365 Licenses, Salesforce)
  • Github Repos
  • AWS Role's
  • Distribution list's
  • Databases
  • Shared drives
  • Slack Channel
  • Salesforce objects, Permission Sets
  • + Many more

These are all discovered via our extensive set of integrations, which is growing daily.

Single pane of glass

With resources, Ploy gives you a single platform where you can view every single one of your resources, as well as who has access to each resource, all in a single view. This means you're no longer have to jump between 10+ tools on a daily basis to view and manage access to different resources, it's all available in a single view.

On the resources page you'll find a complete list of all your companies resources with the ability to filter on various different fields such as the type, integration and employee (allowing you to quickly see in one click what employees have access to).

On each resources page you'll be able to see exactly who has access, what level/type of access they have (e.g. for groups this may be the role) as well as a complete audit ready history of access for each resource.

One Click access

Having a single place to view resources is all well and good, but if there's one thing we've learnt from our time at Ploy, is that IT & Security teams are often understaffed and overworked so we wanted to take resources that one step further and allow you to grant and revoke access to all resources from within Ploy.

With literally 1 click you can now bulk add and remove users from any resource that Ploy supports (via our direct integrations) without having to jump into 10 different tools or use slow and outdated UI's (looking at you Microsoft 👀).

10x your onboarding and offboarding automations

Like any feature we release at Ploy, automation is at the forefront, not an afterthought. Everything you can see and do with resources in Ploy is also available in our workflows product, greatly decreasing the amount of effort required for you to onboard and offboard employees from tools and resources.
