December Product Update

Firstly, just want to wish you a Happy New Year! We hope you had a great Christmas and are as excited as us about the year ahead!

Assignment Configuration 🕵️

New to the platform is the concept of Assignment Configuration, which lets you create templates for how you want actions to be assigned to members. We've also introduced new features so that you can now:

• Choose a 'First Responder' distribution type, where an action is sent to multiple individuals and waits for the first response
• Create more complex Fallback Assignment, such as falling back to a second group with Round Robin distribution
• Configure when to apply the Fallback Assignment

For now, assignment configuration applies to manual approval of access requests, and manual provisioning of resources, but in future will apply to any manual actions or tasks.

Access Review Improvements 🏋️

We made a series of iterative improvements to access reviews in December too:

• You can now remove accounts from a review altogether (e.g. if you're only concerned with reviewing Admin accounts).
• The reviewer can now filter accounts by Department, Job Title, Role, Last Review Status, and whether already reviewed or not.
• The reviewer can then review filtered accounts in bulk.

We believe that, for large reviews, these improvements can reduce the number of clicks from several hundred to just a handful.

Quick wins 📜

In addition, December also saw an increased focus on quick wins. Below are some highlights:

• Access Configuration: Improved the UI so that users cannot progress without applying an access policy.
• Access Policies: Improved the UI so that users can't save without populating mandated fields.
• Access Reviews: Fixed a bug where access review were being triggered after being removed.
• Access Reviews: Improved the Slack message to reviewers to include the name of the resource requiring a review.
• Workflows: Added a new node that allows you to send a Yes/No question to an individual, with two branches in the flow depending on the answer.
• Workflows: Tasks generated in a workflow can now be linked to an Offboarding to ensure full audit history.
• Offboarding: Fixed an issue where tasks were not displaying.
• Integrations: Fixed the GitHub integration.
• Integrations: Fixed an issue with the AWS integration.
• Employees: Fixed a bug where the Region filter was not working on the Employees page.
